Josh is an excellent ventriloquist and uses this mind bending skill to good use in his improvisation shows. His solo ventriloquism act has also enjoyed a run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. He is also a puppeteer and has appeared in Jonah and the Whale and Petrushka at the Little Angel Puppet Theatre. He is currently directing the puppetry in Cinderella at The Dukes theatre in Lancaster. He also teaches ventriloquism.

Josh started improvising in the early 90s. He was a founder member of “More Fool Us” in Bristol, along with Rob Brydon, Ruth Jones, Julia Davis and Toby Longworth. With Ken Campbell, he helped to bring the Die Nasty Impro Marathon format to London, and has appeared in the annual 50 hour show ever since. He is a founder member of the School of Night, whose recent show at the Edmonton, Alberta fringe was called “a game changer,” “awe-inspiring and hilarious.”
